Hi, friends!

I have been eagerly waiting to share this special episode with you about an extremely timely topic! Episode 4 of the Words From Silence podcast is called “Desert Wisdom & Christian Nationalism.” I had the honor of talking with author and spiritual companion Lisa Colón DeLay about the historical roots of Christian contemplatives and the wisdom we can glean from the desert mothers and fathers who grappled with how to live as people of faith during a time when Christianity became enmeshed with the Roman Empire.

A little more about this week’s guest… Lisa is a Puerto Rican-born author, broadcaster, teacher, and spiritual companion who centers her projects on spiritual formation. She is the host of the weekly Spark My Muse podcast and is the author of The Wild Land Within: Cultivating Wholeness through Spiritual Practice, as well as an upcoming book on the Christian spirituality, wisdom, and the lives of the Desert Fathers and Mothers in the Desert Era (roughly 300-600 CE). You can find Lisa's work at https://lisadelay.com/blog/

I hope you’ll listen in and let us know what you think! You can listen here, on Spotify, or on Apple Podcasts.
